I'll keep mine short and sweet.
So good. On so many levels.
Tiger Tiger was the shit, as were Nice, The Chauffer, Chains, Girls on Film (w/ Groove is in the Heart), I don't want your love, Hold Back the Rain, Is there Something I should Know?, Careless Memories (w/ the cool Anime)........
Danced my ass off the whole show.
And I hope all the drunk assholes booing the opening act got DUIs on the way home.
You suck.

Re: Duran Duran San Diego reviews
Sat, February 26, 2005 - 3:36 PMIt was a good show. It started a little sluggishly- Simon's voice seemed a little raw during Reach Up for the Sunrise, but he quickly recovered. Andy rocked up a storm(man, they should have let him play like that in the '80s!).
I liked the stage set up, although I miss the video screen of the band's performance....the Sports Arena was at about 1/3 its usual size, so every seat was pretty much a great seat.
Thank you to the woman sitting behind us, who kept yelling 'Simon, I love you' at every chance, in a very Edith Bunker accent. A few times, her husband yelled 'I love you Roger!!', which was very funny! It was like the old days.
I managed to pick up the wonderful pop-up tour program and the Xmas ornaments(limited edition!). They'll go great with the RockStar Games ones we got at my husband's company Holiday party(he works at RS San Diego)!
